Arabian Nights: Presented by Uvalde Grand Opera House and You-POP

It’s wedding night in the palace of Shahrayar, the brokenhearted king who vowed to marry a new bride each day only to kill her the next morning. The new Queen Shahrazad should be put to death when the sun rises like all the brides before her, but she has one gift that could save her- the gift of storytelling.

With her vivid imagination, the young Queen cleverly tells her tales in hopes to appease the bitter king and postpone her execution. Will her short stories and folktales be enough to save her life?

The performance will be June 21st-22nd and rehearsals start June 3rd.
